session of the General Assembly of Maryland, eighteen

hundred and seventy-six, chapter twenty, entitled " An
act to empower the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore

to purchase, lease or condemn lands for public parks or

squares within the limits of said city," and to revise and

amend section eight hundred and thirty-seven of the

Public Local Laws, article four, city of Baltimore, and

to make valid proceedings had for the condemnation of

ground for a bublic square.......................................

or stake nets in the waters of the Chesapeake Bay and

its tributaries, bounding on and lying within Harford

No. 146. An act to authorize the County Commissioners of

Baltimore county to borrow the sum of forty thousand

dollars, and to provide for the payment of the same out

of the levy for the year eighteen hundred and seventy-

eight and for eighteen hundred and seventy-nine.

Whereas the County Commissioners of Baltimore county

have ascertained that the taxes levied for the year eigh-

teen hundred and seventy-seven have been for the most

part collected and expended, and that there exists a large
indebtedness against the county, created by their prede-

cessors in office, for which immediate provisions must be

privileges heretofore conferred, and also to confer addi-

tional powers and privileges upon the convention of the

Protestant Episcopal Church in the Diocese of Easton by
authorizing it to receive, by gift, devise, or otherwise,

contributions in money, land or other property, and to

hold the same for the purposes therein mentioned.........
