SEC. 137. They shall have power to demand a

license from all persons who vend any articles upon
|
|
|

the public streets, or who go from hoiise to house to
|
|
|
|
make sale of the same, or who expose any articles

SEC. 138. They shall have power to demand a

SEC. 139. The said Mayor and Council may an-

dollars worth of assessable property for general pur-

poses, and such further sum or sums as may be now

authorized by law for the liquidation o'f the town

|

indebtedness ; said taxes, when levied, shall be a lien
|
|
|
|
upon property, as now provided by law, and they
|
|
|
|
may be collected as State and county taxes are col-
|
|
|
|
lected, or by such other means as the Mayor and
|
|
|
|
Council may by ordinance adopt.

SEC. 140. It shall be the duty of the Treasurer to

SEC. 141. From any judgment rendered by either

ty ; provided, the appeal is entered immediately upon
