SEC. 124. The clerk shall keep careful and accu-

rate minutes of the proceedings of the Council, and
|
|
|
|
record all ordinances passed in a book to be kept

receive an annual salary not exceeding one hundred

SEC. 125. The Council shall fix the salaries of all
|
|
|
|
other officers of the town, and shall exact bonds to

the town in such penalty as they may deem right

for a faithful compliance of all officers with the

duties imposed upon them by the ordinances and
|
|
|
|
laws of the town.

|
SEO. 126. At their meeting for the election of offi-

cers the Council shall appoint two of the justices of
|
|
|
|
the peace of the said town to enforce the ordinances

SEC. 127. For the enforcement of the town ordi-

|
|
|
nances the said justices shall have all the power of
|

ordering arrests and summoning witnesses that is

now vested in them by law, and they shall be enti-

|
|
tled to demand and receive the same fees as in other
|
|
|
|
criminal proceedings, but the Council may determine
|
|
|
|
and fix an annual salary to be paid to said justices

quarterly, and in such case they shall impose no jus-
tices' fees in the trial of cases before them. Each of
|
|
|
|
said justices shall be furnished with copies of the ordi-

nances of the town relative to crimes and punish-

ments, and each shall keep a separate docket for
|
ordinances

corporation cases, and therein record and make
|
|
|
|
regular entries of his proceedings in all such cases,

setting forth the fine or imprisonment imposed and
|

the amount of costs, and he shall submit said docket
|
|
|
|
to the inspection of any person who may request to

|
|
sec the same, and upon demand shall deliver a copy
|
|
|
|
of any judgment rendered by him. It shall be the

duty of said justices to make out a summarized
