CHAPTER 422.
AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of
Worcester county to open a road in said county,
and to permit gates to be placed across the same.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the County Commissioners of
Worcester county are hereby authorized and empow-
ered to open a road from, such point as they may
deem proper in the ninth election district of said
county, near the town of Berlin, on the public road
which is contiguous to the farm occupied by Peter	Open a road
C. Davis, so as to intersect the public road leading from Newark to Queponco, or so much thereof as	and place gates across.
they may deem proper, and in their discretion to
permit any person or persons to place gates across the
same ; provided that the right to compensation for damages or injury sustained by any person by open
ing said road shall not be impaired by this act.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall	In force

CHAPTER 423.
AN ACT to change a part of the dividing line be-
tween the fourth and fifth election districts of St.
Mary's county.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That that portion of the fourth elec-
tion district of St. Mary's county lying north of a straight line starting from a point at which the road leading from the Three Notch road to St. Joseph	Election dis trict added to
Church, known as the Forest Hall road, intersects
the said Three Notch road, running thence north
eighty-eight degrees, west three and one-half miles,
to the junction of Sothoron's run with the north-
