the first day of May next ; and John H. Cooper,

 

Herman Stump, Jr., and Richard Hynson, who

 

shall serve four years from the' first day of May

 

next ; and Goldsborough S. Griffith, De Wilton

 

Snowden and Levin F. Morris, who shall serve for

 

two years from the first day of May next; and

 

they shall be a body corporate under the title of

 

the Board of Managers of the Maryland House of

SEC 3. And be it enacted, That upon the expira-

 

tion of each of the terms of office of the Board

 

of Managers hereinbefore provided for, the Gov-

 

ernor shall, by and with the advice aud consent of

appoint

the Senate, appoint three persons, residents of this

 

State, to serve without compensation for the term

 

of two years from the first Monday of May next

 

ensuing their appointment, and until their suc-

 

cessors are qualified ; and shall appoint from time

 

to time during the continuance of said institution,

 

three persons, residents as aforesaid, for a full term

 

of two years, so that the Board of Managers shall

 

be divided into three classes, one-third of whom

 

shall go out of office at the end of every two years;

 

and shall also have the power, in the case of any
