act to amend and re-enact section one hundred and
thirty-five, article twenty-one of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws of Washington county," and to re-
peal chapter seventy-three of the acts of the Gen-
eral Assembly of Maryland, passed at the January
session, eighteen hundred and sixty-six, entitled
"An act to amend article twenty-one of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Washington county, by
adding thereto additional sections, authorizing the
Mayor and Council of Hagerstown to lay out and
open streets and alleys in said town;" and to re-
peal chapter four hundred and five of the acts of
the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at the
January session, eighteen hundred and sixty-eight,
entitled " An act to amend article twenty-one of
the Code of Public Local Laws entitled Washing-
ton county, by adding thereto further sections;"
and to repeal chapter four hundred and twenty-
two of the acts of the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, passed at the January session, eighteen
hundred and seventy-two, entitled ''An act to
repeal sections one hundred and twelve, one hun-
dred and thirteen, one hundred and fourteen, one
hundred and fifteen, one hundred and sixteen, one
hundred and seventeen, one hundred and eigh-
teen, one hundred and nineteen, one hundred and
twenty, one hundred and twenty-one, one hundred
and twenty-two, one hundred and twenty-three,
one hundred and twenty-four, one hundred and
twenty-five, one hundred and twenty-six, one hun-
