and ornaments or tombs within any and all such in-

animals, and to keep up in suitable condition all such
inclosures, and to negotiate for the removal of the

remains of deceased persons, and to plant trees and

shrubs and vines to decorate said grounds, and to

levy the necessary expenses.

SEC. 222. And be it enacted, That this act shall

take effect as soon as the vestry of Chestertown, or

Chester parish in said town, shall certify to the Clerk

AN ACT for the promotion of agriculture and the

|
mechanic and household arts in Harford, Kent,
|
 
|
Howard, and Queen Anne's counties.
|
 
|
Whereas by chapter two hundred and eighty-two
|
 
|
of the acts of eighteen hundred and seventy-two, the
sum of one thousand dollars was appropriated to
|

each of the agricultural societies of Frederick, Alle-
|
 
|
gany, Montgomery, Washington, and Carroll coun-
|
 
|
ties —
|
 
|
And whereas since the passage of said act agricul-
tural societies have been organized in Harford, Kent,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the sum of one thousand dollars
