SEC. 2. And le it enacted, That the holders of

said orders, checks or drafts failing to present the

same to the County Commissioners as provided for
|

in the first section of this act, shall not be entitled

to receive or demand of, or from said collectors, any
interest on the same after the time hereinbefore pro-

vided for the presentment thereof, nor shall any in-

terest be collectable on said orders, checks or drafts

when held by persons who refuse to accept from said

collector payment thereof, after payment has been
|
 
|
tendered by said collectors.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal section one of chapter one
|
 
|
hundred and seventy-six of the acts of eighteen
|
 
|
hundred and seventy-four, entitled "An act to
|
 
|
grant donations to Garrett county for the use of
|
 
|
Academies and Schools," and to amend and re-en-
|
 
|
act the same so as to read as follows :
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Se it enacted by the General Assembly
|
 
|
of Maryland, That section one of chapter one hun-
|
 
|
dred and seventy-six of the acts of eighteen hundred
|
