Company continues to be the owner of the stock of

 

said railroad company; provided said railroad com-

 

pany continues to pay the State tax upon its gross

 

receipts as required by the laws of this State.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

 

effect from and after the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 343.

 

AN ACT to repeal section one of an act passed at

 

the January session of eighteen hundred and fifty

 

three of the General Assembly of Maryland, en-

 

titled " An act to amend an act entitled an act

 

to establish a House of Refuge for Juvenile De-

 

linquents and supplements thereto," so as to re-

 

duce the number of managers thereof, and to re-

 

enact the same with amendments, so as to read as

 

follows :

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly

 

of Maryland, That section one of the act passed at
