CHAPTER 312.

AN ACT to enable the Mayor and City Council of
|
 
|
Baltimore to convey a good title, in fee, to the
|
 
|
wharf at the southern end of South street, being
|
 
|
the same property that, by a deed dated on or
|
 
|
about the twenty-fourth day of January, in the
|
 
|
year eighteen hundred and fifty-four, the Mayor
|
 
|
and City Council of Baltimore conveyed in fee to
|
 
|
Samuel McDonald.
|
 
|
Whereas the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore
|
 
|
heretofore sold to Samuel McDonald, in fee, certain
|
 
|
wharf properties at the southern end of South street,
|
 
|
in the city of Baltimore, and he has fully paid the
|
 
|
whole purchase money therefor, and said Mayor and
|
Preamble.
|
City Council executed a deed, conveying all their
right, title and estate therein to him ; and whereas
|
 
|
doubts have arisen as to the power of said Mayor
|
 
|
and City Council to execute said deed and convey
|
 
|
said properties; and whereas said McDonald has
|
 
|
departed this life ; therefore —
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
|
 
|
of Maryland, That the Mayor and City Council of
|
 
|
Baltimore city be and they are hereby authorized
|
 
|
and empowered to convey by a good and sufficient
deed, in fee, to the heirs at law or assigns of the late
|

ing his life time, in fee, in as full and ample a man-

|
ner as the said Mayor and City Council were entitled
|
 
|
to have, hold and enjoy the same.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
