CHAPTER 37.

AN ACT to give and declare the sanction and con-

|
|
|
sent of the General Assembly of Maryland to the
|
|
|
|
bequest of Nancy Donavan, late of Allegany
|
|
|
|
county, Maryland, deceased, to Saint Patrick's
|
|
|
|
Catholic Church of Cumberland.
|
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
|
|
|
|
of Maryland, That the sanction and consent of the
|
|
|
Bequest
sanctioned.
|
General Assembly of Maryland be and the same is
hereby given and declared to the bequest of Nancy
|
|
|
|
Donovan, late of Allegany county, Maryland, de-
ceased, to Saint Patrick's Catholic Church of Cum-
|
|
|
|
berland, as contained in her nuncupative will
|
|
|
|
admitted to probate in the Orphans' Court of said
|
|
|
|
county.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
|
|
|

effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT giving sanction of. the General Assembly

of Maryland to a bequest, legacy and devise in
|
|

the last will and testament of George Stonebraker,
|
|
|
|
late of Baltimore city, deceased, to the Lutheran
|
|
|
|
and German Reformed Congregation of Funks-
|
|
|
|
town, Washington county, Maryland.
|
|
|
|
Whereas George Stonebraker, late of Baltimore
|
|
|
|
city, deceased, did, by his last will and testament,
|
|
|
|
dated the thirty-first day of August, eighteen hun-
|
|
|
|
dred and thirty-two, give and devise a house and
|
|
|
Preamble.
|
lot in Boonsborough, Washington county, Mary-
land, to. his black woman " Tilly," to whom he
|
|
|
|
also gave freedom, with sixty dollars yearly dur-
|
|
|
|
ing her life, and after her decease,' the said house
|
|
|
|
and lot, and annuity of sixty dollars, to the sole
|
