SEC. 10. The provisions of this act shall not effect

the tenure of office of the present overseer of the

poor in said county, but the accounts required by

office, be made to the said County Commissioners,

under oath, to be administered by one of said County

Commissioners at such of their regular meetings as

CHAPTER 219.

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money to pay
|
 
|
Samuel Burgess, late Collector of State Taxes in
|
 
|
Kent county, the amount overpaid by him into the
|
 
|
treasury.
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted, by the General Assembly
|
 
|
of Maryland, That the Comptroller of this State
|
 
|
be and he is hereby authorized and directed to issue
|
 
|
his warrant upon the Treasurer of this State to pay
|

rant to Sam'1
Burgess.
|
Samuel Burgess, of Kent county, the sum of thirty-
five dollars and forty cents, being the amount over-
|
 
|
paid by said Samuel Burgess into the treasury as
|
 
|
collector of State taxes for the fifth election district
|
 
|
of Kent county for the year eighteen hundred and
|
 
|
seventy-six, as certified to by the Comptroller of this
|
 
|
State.

|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
|
