CHAPTER 151.

AN ACT to add additional sections to article eleven
|
|
|
|
of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Frederick
|
|
|
|
county," sub-title "Emmittsburg," authorizing
|
|
|
|
and empowering the Burgess and Commissioners
|
|
|
|
of Emmittsburg to widen the public street leading
|
|
|
|
from the public square, in said town, to the depot
|
|
|
|
of the Emmittsburg Railroad company, to be
|
|
|
|
known as sub-sections A and B, to the charter of
|
|
|
|
said town.

|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
|
|
|
|
of Maryland, That the following sections author-
|
|
|
|
izing and empowering the burgess and commission-
|
|
|
|
ers of Emmittsburg, in Frederick county, to widen
|
|
|
|
the public street leading from the public square, in
said town, to the depot of the Emmittsburg Railroad
|

company, be, and the same are hereby added to
|
ind commis-

|
article eleven of the Code of Public Local Laws, ti-
|
ioners.

|
|

|
|
|
|
said town.

|
SUB-SEC. A. The burgess and commissioners of
|
|
|
|
Emmittsburg, in Frederick county, are hereby au-
|
|
|
|
thorized and empowered to widen the public street
|

leading from the public square, in said town, to the
|
public street

|
|
depot of the Emmittsburg Railroad company, where,
|
|
|
|
in their judgment, it may be necessary, not exceed-
|
|
|
|
ing ten feet in direction from west to eastward, and
|
|
|
|
to use the additional land as and for a footwalk.
|
|
|
|
SUB-SEC. B. The said burgess and commissioners
|
|
|
|
of Emmittsburg, by themselves or their agent,
|
|
|
|
may agree with the owner or owners of any land
|

which may be required for the widening of said

for the purchase, use, occupation and diversion of
|

the same ; and if they cannot agree, or if there be

burgess and commissioners of Emmittsburg shall
