CHAPTER 84.
|
|
|
|
AN ACT providing for the re-location and straight-
|
|
|
|
ening of Water street and extension of Green
|
|
|
|
street, in the city of Cumberland, and for the
|
|
|
|
grading, re-curbing and re-paving thereof.
|
|
|
|
SEC. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
|
|
|
Maryland, That J. Smith Johnson, Ferdinand Wil-
|
|
|
|
liams and Richard Bender be and they are hereby
|

appointed commissioners, with power and authority
|
ers appointed

|
|
to re-locate and straighten that portion of Water
|
|
|
|
street, in the city of Cumberland, lying between
|
|
|
|
Washington and Green streets, in said city.

|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the eastern side of
|
|
|
|
said street, as re-located, shall commence at a point
|
|
|
|
in the front of the building of Morris A. Healy,
|
|
|
|
where it is intersected by the line of the southern
|

side of Washington street, and shall run from said
|
street.

|
|
point with a line at right angles to Washington street
|
|
|
|
until it reaches the southern line of Green street ex-

|
|
|
tended, and the western line of said street as re-lo-

cated shall commence at the north-eastern corner of
|
|
|
|
the law office of A. H. Blackerston and shall run
|
|
|
|
from said point at right angles to Washington street
|
|
|
|
until it reaches the northern line of Green street ex-
|
|
|
|
tended.
