House bill entitled an Act to authorize and em-
power the Board of Public Works to build and equip
three new sailing vessels for State Fishery Force, and
to sell three old sloops now used by said force, and
also to provide for certain local guard boats during
the oyster season.
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Tn section 3, line 12, after the word "from," strike
out the word "October" and insert in lieu thereof
the word "September."
Which was adopted.
Said bill, as amended, was then read a second time,,
and ordered to be engrossed for a third reading.
REPORTS OF SELECT COMMITTEES.
Mr. Combs reported, favorably,
House bill entitled an Act for the better protection,
of game in St. Mary's county, and to prevent the
shooting or taking of same by non-residents without
license.
Also, favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 26, of
Aiticle 19, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title"
"St. Mary's County Commissioners," to re-enact the
same with amendments, and to add new sections
thereto, to be designated sections 26 A, 26 B and 26 Cl
Which were severally read a first time.
Mr. Miles submitted the following' message :
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
March 16th, 1892.
Gentlemen of the Senate:
We propose, with the concurrence of your Honor-
able Body, the appointment of a Joint Committee, con-
sisting of seven on the part of the House of Delegates
and five on the part of the Senate, to take into con-
sideration all matters relating to a general assessment
bill. We have appointed on the part of the House of
Delegates, Messrs. Berret, ————
