pany of Baltimore city, and to enable said company
to use the electric power known as Trolly System for
the propulsion of its cars upon its railways.

REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES.
Mr. Berret, from the Committee on Ways ,and
Means, reported favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay Noah C. Sterling for the loss of the
schooner Martha E. Freeman.
On motion, said bill was placed on third reading
file and made the Order of the Day for Thurday,
March 17th, 12.30 P. M.
Also, favorably, with proposed amendment,
Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay the claim of the Board of Managers of
the Sylvan Retreat Asylum of Allegany county, for
the support of two insane convicts at the Sylvan Re-
treat Asylum, for the years 1890 and 1891.
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
In section 1, line 3, strike out the words "four
hundred and fifty," and substitute the words "four
hundred and forty-eight."
Which was adopted.
Said bill, as amended, was then read a second time.
Also, favorably,
Senate bill entitled an Act to provide for the index-
ing of the Senate Journals, the bound volumes of
Senate printed bills and Senate documents in the office
of the Secretary of the Senate.
Which was read a second time.
