On motion of Mr. Donaldson,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corpora-
tion to introduce a bill entitled an Act to compel the
Annapolis & Baltimore Short Line Railroad Com-
pany to provide watchmen at the principal road
crossings in Anne Arundel county, and to empower
the County Commissioners of said county to desig-
nate the road crossings to be watched.
On motion of Mr. Field,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judi-
ciary to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal
section 248, of Article 27, of the Code of Public
General Laws, title "Crimes and Punishments," sub
title "Sabbath-breaking," and to amend and re-enact
the same.

Mr, Carter, from the Committee on Judiciary, re-
ported favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 122, of
Article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"City of Baltimore," sub-title "Buildings," and to
re-enact the same with amendments.
Also favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to amend Article 23, of
the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title
"Corporations," by adding thereto an additional sec-
tion to follow section 20, class 7, and to be designated
as "Section 20 A, Class 7 A," of said Article, provi-
ding fqr the formation of corporations for conducting
any trading, commercial or mercantile business.
Which were severally read a first time.
Also reported,
House bill entitled an Act to amend section 27, of
Article 65, of the Code of Public General Laws title
"Militia," with recommendation that said bill be
referred to the Committee on Militia.
Bill considered, and so referred.
