Mr. Collins submitted the following proposed
amendment:
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
In section 18, line 6, after the word "and," strike
out all down to word "sale," inclusive, and add the
following: "Ah land shall be valued for the purpose
of taxation at its true value, which shall be determined
by the usual selling price of similar property in the
same vicinity. The improvements on agricultuial
land or lands used for farming shall be rated only at
their true agricultural value to the lands as compared
with their agricultural value before such improve-
ments were made. All improvements on land in
cities, towns, villages or lands not agricultural shall
be rated at their true value as compared with the
value of said land before such improvements were
made."
Which was rejected.
Mr. Gallagher submitted the following proposed
amendment:
AMENDMENT .PROPOSED.
Section 18, page 21, in line 35, after the word
"given," add: "The valuation and assessment in the
Twenty-first and Twenty-second Wards of the city of
Baltimore shall be made in conformity with the pro-
visions of section 5, of Article 4, of the Code of Pub-
lic Local Laws, title "City of Baltimore. "
Which was adopted.
Mr. Gallagher submitted the following proposed
amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Section 18, line 42, strike out all after the word
"thereof," at end of the line.
Which was adopted.
Mr. Deen submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Section 18, line 24, strike out all after the word
"acre," to the word "value."
Which was rejected.
Mr. Haines submitted the following proposed amend-
ment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Section 18, line 41, after the word "costs," add
"and the rate of interest paid therein."
Which was adopted.
