SECOND ORDER OF THE DAY.
The hour of 1 P. M. having arrived, the House con-
sidered the Second Order of the Day, being
House bill entitled an Act to provide for the general
valuation assessment of property in this State.
Mr. Carter submitted the following proposed amend-
ment :
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
In section 1, line 59, strike out all after the word
"individuals," down to the word "valued," inclusive,
in line 64, and insert in lieu thereof the following:
"any bridge or bridges over streams forming part of
the roadway of any railroad or turnpike company in-
corporated by this State, shall be valued at the same
