to Article 4, Public Local Laus, title "City of Balti-
more," sub title "Licenses," to be known as "Section
664 A."

House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments section 128, of Article 22, of the
Code of Public Local Laws, title "Washington
County," sub-title "Election District."
Severally endorsed: ''Read the third time, and
passed by yeas and nays."
Also,
House bill entitled an Act to add a section to Article
87, of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Sheriff,"
sub-title "Oath of Office and Bond," to come in after
section 4, of said Article, and to be called "Section 4
A," relating to the official oath to be taken by the
Sheriff.
Endorsed : "Reported unfavorably from the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings, and report adopted."
ORDER OF THE DAY.
At 12.30 P. M.
The House considered the Order of the Day, being
House bill (Printed No. 87) known as the weekly
pay bill.
Mr. Carter submitted the following proposed amend-
ment :
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
In line 14, after the word "committed,'' section 2
add the following: "Provided, however, that none of
the provisions of this bill shall apply to steam rail-
Roads, surface railioads, farmers, farm laborers, or
to persons employed in ordinary household and do-
mestic labor.
Which was adopted.
Pending further consideration the Assessment Bill
took precedence.
