ORDER OF THE DAY,
The House, at 8.30 considered the Order of the
Day, being the favorable report of the Committee on
Printing on the following order, with the amendments,
viz:
Ordered, That the State Printer be and is hereby
authorized and directed to print and bind, for the use
of the State, 10,000 copies of the report prepared by
the Commissioner of the Land Office, on Maryland Re-
sources, in accordance with section 1, of Article 79, of
the Code of Public General Laws.
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Strike out all after the word "ordered," and insert
the following: That the State Printer be and he is
hereby authorized and directed to print and bind, for
the use of the State, 10,000 copies of a report prepared
by the Commissioner of the Land Office on Maryland's
Resources, and the cost of the same to be $1,600, or so
much thereof as may be necessary; and it is further
ordered, that the State Printer be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to furnish each Board of
County Commissioners of this State with 100 copies of
said report to be disposed of or circulated by them
under the direction of the County Granges and County
Alliances of the several counties and all expenses to
be paid by the Commissioners of said several counties ;
that each member of the General Assembly be furnished
with 10 copies of said report; that every newspaper
in the State be furnished with 2 copies; that 100 copies
be furnished to the leading Journals of the country;
that 500 copies be furnished to the Mayor, of the city
of Baltimore; that 500 copies be furnished to the Secre-
tary of State; that 2,000 copies be furnished the
Bureau' of Emigration of the Baltimore and Ohio Rail-
road; that copies of this report be exchanged f or docu-
ments of other States, by the Commissioner of the
Land Office; that the said Commissioner of the Land
Office forward copies to all persons who may apply for
information in reference to the resources of the State,
and the residue shall be turned over to the Commis-
sioner of the Land Office for distribution.

Further consideration postponed, and made the
Order of the Day for March 16th, at 8.30 P. M.
