Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Ways and Means.
Also,
Senate bill entitled an Act to establish a free bridge
over the Patapsco river, between Baltimore and
Howard counties, at a point near to Orange Grove,
and to authorize the Commissioners of Baltimore
county to levy a tax to the amount of $15,000, and to
authorize the Commissioners of Howard county to
issue bonds to the amount of $15,000, to be expended
in the construction of said bridge and the acquisition
of the necessary land adjoining it, and to authorize
the condemnation of such land, and to authorize the
levying of taxes by the respective counties to provide
for the Dayment of said bonds with interest, and for
the keeping said bridge in repair, and to provide for
the opening of roads to afford access to said bridge.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Howard and Baltimore Counties Delegations.
Also,
Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower
the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to appro-
priate a sum of money not exceeding $1,000, to erect
a monument in said city to the memory of Maryland
patriots and soldiers of the war of the American Revo-
lution.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Baltimore City Delegation.
Also,
Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor
and Council of Salisbury, in Wicomico county, to
borrow money for the erection of a market house.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Wicomico County Delegation.
Also,
Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 51, of
Article 6, of the Code of "Public Local Laws, title
"Caroline County," sub-title ''County Commissioners,"
and to re-enact the same with amendments, and to add
four new sections, to be called "51 A, 51 B, 51 C and
51 D.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Caroline County Delegation and Mr. Smith, of Dor
Chester county.
