Mr. Carter introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to pay the claim of J. H.
Medairy & Co., for stationery furnished the Execu-
tive and Legislative Departments, Court of Appeals
and State Library for 1891 and 1892.
Which was read a first time... and referred to the
Committee on Ways and Means.
Mr. Cornthwaite introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to repeal, amend and re-
enact section 36, of Article 16, of the Code of Public
General Laws, title "Chancery," sub-title "Divorces."
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on the Judiciary.
Mr. Moore introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments new section 32, of Article 33. of the
Code of Public Geneal Laws of Maryland, title "Elec-
tions," sub-title "Registration," as enacted by the
Act of 1890, chapter 573.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Elections.
Mr. Field introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re enact
with amendments section 9, of Article 52, of the Code
of Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Justice of
the Peace," sub-title "Civil Jurisdiction."
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on the Judiciary.
The Secretary of the Senate appeared and delivered
the following message :
Joint Resolution appointing a commission to inquire
into and report upon the Torrens System of Registry of
Land Titles.
Endorsed: "Read the third time, and passed by
yeas and nays, with proposed amendment."
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Add at the close of Joint Resolution the following
words: "Provided, the said Commissioners named in
the above resolution shall serve without any compen-
sation."
