1892.] OF THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES. 601
AMENDMENT PEOPOSED.
Add at the end of section 20 the following : "And
when clutch or small oysters adhere so closely to the
shell of an oyster in above the length of two and one-
half inches as to render a removal impossible, then
such large oysters, together with the adhering small
oysters or clutch, shall be left on the natural beds or
bars. The possession of any empty shells among a
cargo of oysters or any oysters of which the shells
measure from hinge to mouth less than two and one-
half inches, on board of any boat or vessel in the
waters of this State, shall be prima facie evidence that
the cargo is unculled and violation of this section. It
shall be the duty of the State Fishery Force to enforce
the provisions of this section.
Which was rejected.
Mr. Cornthwaite moved (seconded by Messrs. Carter
and Gill) that the vote by which the following amend-
ment was adopted during the morning session offered,
by Mr. Anderson, be re considered.
In line 130, section 14, after the word "common,"
insert "or the citizens of Wicomico and Somerset,
from using the Wicomico river in common."
Which motion prevailed.

the proposed amendment.
