FOURTH ORDER OF THE DAY.
The House, at 2 P. M., considered the fourth Order
of the Day, being
House bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 2, 5,
11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 20, 20 A, 21, 28, 33 and 34, of
Article 72, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Oysters," and to re enact the same with amend-
ments, and to add new sections to said Article.
Mr. Smith, of Dorchester, submitted the following
proposed amendment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
In section 2, line 49, after the word "March," insert
the following: "Except Talbot and Dorchester coun-
ties, where the time for taking oysters with scoop,
scrape or dredge, shall begin on the first day of
October and end on the first day of March.
Which was adopted.
Mr. Sams submitted the following proposed amend-
ment :
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
In line 42, strike out "State Fishing Force," and
insert in place the words "Oyster Fund."
Which was adopted.
Mr. Sams submitted the following proposed amend-
ment :
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
In line 93, strike out the words ; 'delivered by the
Comptroller to," and insert in place thereof "fur-
nished by."
In line 94, strike out all from word "Court," to and
including word "Comptroller," in line 95, and insert
"issuing such licenses."
Which was rejected.
Mr. Sams submitted the following proposed amend-
ment:

Comptroller to," and insert in place "furnished by."
