Mr. Thompson submitted the following message:
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
February 29th, 1892.
Gentlemen of the Senate:
We propose, with the concurrence of your Honor-
able Body, the appointment of a Joint Committee, to
consist of five members on the part of the House, and
three on the part of the Senate, to visit the Con-
federate Home at Pikesville, Maryland, and report to
the General Assembly the condition of the same.
We have appointed on the part of the House,
Messrs. Speaker, ex-officio, Thompson, Laird, Sams,
Monmonier and Ellegood.

Which was read, assented to, and sent to the Senate.

The Secretary of the Senate appeared and delivered
the following message:
BY THE SENATE,
February 29th, 1892.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :
We have received your message proposing the ap-
pointment of a Joint Committee, to consist of five mem-
bers on the part of the House, and three on the part
of the Senate, to visit the Confederate Home at Pikes-
ville, Md., and report to the General Assembly the
condition of the same, and concur therein.
We have appointed on the part of the Senate,
Messrs. Wootton, Waters and Dawson.
