Mr. Schlaffer, from a Select Committee, reported fav-
orably,
Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 188 to
217, inclusive,of Article 3, of the Code of Public Local
Laws, title "Baltimore County," sub-title "Roads,"
and to enact new sections in lieu thereof.
Also,
Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the County
Commissioners of Baltimore county to make a special
levy of not more than 20 per cent, on each $100 of the
assessable real estate in the village of Lutherville, for
the purpose of improving the roads in said village.
Which were severally read a second time.
ORDER OF THE DAY,
The hour of 12.30 having arrived, the House con-
sidered the order of the day, being,
House bill entitled an Act to establish a State Board
of Agriculture and Statistics, and prescribe the duties
thereof, and to repeal Article 89, of the Code of Pub-
lic General Laws of Maryland, title ''Statistics and
Information as to Branches of Industry."
With proposed amendments:
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
Amendments proposed by the Committee on Agri-
culture, to House bill No. 259, (printed No. 72,) en-
titled an Act to establish a State Board of Agricul-
ture, &c.
1st. To change the title so it shall read, "an Act to
establish a State Board of Agriculture and Immigra-
tion, and prescribe the duties thereof."
2nd. In section 5, strike out the clause "mining,
manufactures, transportation, commerce, labor and
wages and."
