The Secretary of the Senate appeared and delivered
the following message:
BY THE SENATE,
February 25th, 1892.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates :
The Senate would respectfully transmit to the
House of Delegates the accompanying report of the
Joint Committee heretofore appointed to confer with
Virginia as to the necessary concurrent legislation for
the protection of oysters in the waters of Potomac and
Pocomoke, and also the Joint Resolution of the Leg-
islature of Virginia, and communication from the
committee appointed by the Yirginia Legislature
under said Joint Resolution, and also the Joint Reso-
lution just passed by the Senate of Maryland, and
would respectfully ask that said Joint Resolution, for
the reasons set forth in the accompanying report of
the Maryland committee, be at once adopted by your
body.

Also the following
REPORT:
The Joint Committee heretofore appointed by a
Joint Resolution of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, passed at this session, to confer with the Legis-
lature of Virginia for the purpose of obtaining con-
current legislation as to the taking of oysters, crabs
and fish in the waters of the Potomac and Pocomoke
and for other purposes, would respectfully report that
the accompanying Joint Resolution of the Legislature
of Virginia, and letter signed by the chairmans of the
committees of Fish and Game of the Senate of Vir-
ginia and Chesapeake and Tributaries of the House of
Delegates of the said Legislature of Virginia, has been
just received, and the same are herewith submitted to
the Senate of Maryland.
The Committee would also submit the accompany-
ing Joint Resolution for the prompt action of the
General Assembly, and as the Legislature of Yirginia
will in a few days adjourn, and inasmuch as it is im-
portant that the said Joint Resolution should be com-
