folding room, and that he said that whatever derelic-
tions of duty there may have been in the past, he
now promised there should be none in the future.

The Secretary of the Senate appeared and delivered
the following message:
Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments sections 46, 49, 58, 59, 60, 61, 63, 65,
66, 68, 71, 72, 74, 75, 78, 83 and 84, of Article one, of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, entitled
"Allegany County," sub title "Cumberland," and to
add new sections.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Allegany County Delegation.
Also,
Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments section 3, of Article 30, Code of
Public General Laws, entitled "Deaf, Dumb and
Blind, Education."
Also,
Senate bill entitled an Act to provide for the ap-
pointment of a commission and for the collection, ar-
rangement and display of the products of the State of
Maryland at the World's Columbian Exposion of
1893, and to make an appropriation therefor.
Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate to the pay
ment of the outstanding overdue debt of the State
issued under chapter 41, of the Acts of 1847, so much
of the money received of the United States in settle-
ment of the claims of the State for direct taxes, as may
be necessary therefor, and to forbid the further issue
of the Exchange Loan of 1891, authorized therefor to
