On motion of Mr. Collins,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Education
to introduce a bill entitled an Act to authorize the
Board of County Commissioners of Talbot county to
borrow money.
INTRODUCTION OF BILLS.
Mr. Fuld introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments, section 16, of Article 54, of the
Code of Public General Laws, title "Land Office," re-
lating to the indexing of certain land records and ex-
tracts of deeds.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on the Judiciary.
Mr. Cornthwaite introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay George R. Carter the amount of money
erroneously or unjustly paid by him for outage on
tobacco.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Ways and Means.
Mr. McSherry introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to add a sub-section to
section 35, of Article 26, Code of Public General
Laws, title "Courts," sub-title "Court of Appeals,"
so as to authorize the appointment of a messenger to
the Court of Appeals.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on the Judiciary.
Mr. Laird introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 13, of
Article 55, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Librarian," and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments.
Which was read a first time, and referred to the
Committee on Library.
Mr, Leonard introduced,
House bill entitled an Act to promote, encourage
and foster agriculturel in this State, and appropriate
a sum of monev therefor.
