"Baltimore City," sub-title "Jail," and to re-enact the
same with amendments.
Also, favorably, irom a Select Committee,
House bill entitled an Act to authorize and empower
the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore to appro-
priate a sum of money to pay for the use of a building
to be occupied by the members of the Veteran Volun-
teer Firemen's Association of Baltimore.
Also, favorably, from a Select Committee,
House bill entitled an Act to enable the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore to appropriate a sum of
money for the relief of the Baltimore Manual Labor
School for indigent boys.
Also, favorably, from a Select Committee,
House bill entitled an Act to add an additional sec-
tion to Article 4, of the Public Local Laws, title "Bal-
timore City," sub-title "Condemnations," to be known
as section 148 A, authorizing the Mayor and City
Council to condemn property for public purposes.
Also, favorably, from a Select Committee,
House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 650, of
Article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, title "Ci:y of Baltimore," sub-title "Liquor
and Intoxicating Drinks."
Also, favorably, from a Select Commitiee,
House bill entitled an Act to enable the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore to accept the transfer of the
city's 6 per cent, stock in which the Peabody Institute
fund is now invested and in consideration thereof to
issue other stock to an amount not exceeding five
hundred thousand dollars to said fund.
Also, favorably, from a Select Committee,
House bill entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor
and City Council of Baltimore to levy special assess-
ments upon property binding on any street, lane or
alley, and which may have been graded, paved or
curbed.
Mr. Grove, of Frederick, from a Select Committee,
reported favorably,
House bill entitled an Act to repeal from sections
396 to 413, both inclusive, of Article 2, of the Code of
