Ways and Means,
ORDERS.
On motion of Mr. Gaver, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Sappington, of Frederick, be ex
cused from to day's session, on account of sickness.
On motion of Mr. Laird, it was
Ordered, That the copy of the testimony taken by
the Archer Defalcation Investigating Committee,
transmitted to the House by the Governor with his
annual message, be returned by the Chief Clerk of the
House to the Executive Department for preservation.
On motion of Mr. ——, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Beeks be excused from to-day's
session, on account of business.
On motion of Mr. Bittinger, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Michaels be excused from at-
tendance on to-day's session.
On motion of Mr. Cornthwaite, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Frincke be excused from at-
tendance on to day's session, on account of important
business.
On motion of Mr. Wooters, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Leonard be excused from to-
day's session, on account of business.
On motion of Mr. Grove, of Frederick, it was
Ordered, That a committee of three be appointed
by the Speaker, to inquire. into the condition and
management of the folding room of the House of Dele-
gates, and report the same to this body.
The Speaker appointed Messrs. Grove, of Frederick,
Green and Bevard, as the committee.
On motion of Mr. Green, it was
Ordered, That Mr, Anderson be excused from to-
day's session.
On motion of Mr. Maddox, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Carrico be excused from to-day's
session, on account of business.
