PETITIONS, MEMORIALS AND OTHER PAPERS.
Mr. Gaver presented a petition from George Mehrl-
ing and other citizens of Frederick city, for the repeal
of that portion of the Sunday Law that prevents the
sale of fresh meat on Sunday.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Judiciary.
Also presented a petition from Henry P. Nusbaum
and 27 other citizens of Mt. Pleasant District, Fred-
erick county, opposing the prevention of the sale of
liquors one mile of Robt. Balls' store.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Temperance.
ORDERS.
On motion of Mr. Wallen, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Godwin be excused from attend-
ance on to-day's session, on account of sickness.
