the Hagerstown Manufacturing Mining and Land Im-
provement Company of Washington county, Mary-
land, a sum of money erroneously paid into the State
Treasury for a "bonus" upon its capital stock for the
.year of eighteen hundred and ninety.
On motion of Mr. Sanders,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Labor to in-
troduce a bill entitled an Act to authorize the Governor
of the State to appoint a Board of Examining En-
gineers.
On motion of Mr. Miles,
Leave was granted to the Dorchester County Dele-
gation to introduce a bill entitled an Act to authorize
and empower trustees therein named to convey a lot
of ground situated in New Market District, in Dor-
chester county, to the Board of County School Com-
missioners of said county.
On motion of Mr. Haines,
Leave was granted to the Carroll County Delegation
to introduce a bill entitled an Act to regulate the com-
pensation of officers of registration of voters in Carroll
county.
On motion of Mr. Field,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judiciary
to introduce a bill entitled an Act to declare the sanc-
toin and consent of the (general Assembly of Maryland
to the bequest or legacy of five thousand dollars,
willed and bequeathed to the Maryland Baptist Union
. Association, for the purposes in said will declared by
Mary W. Dennis, late of Somerset county, Maryland.
Also,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judiciary
to introduce a bill entitled an Act to declare the sanc-
tion and consent of the General Assembly of Maryland
to the acquisition, holding and disposing of a certain
lot of ground in the City of Baltimore, on the south-
east corner of George street and Clinton avenue, in
Baltimore city, by the Perkins Square Baptist Church
of Baltimore city.
On motion of Mr. Haines,
Leave was granted to the Carroll County Delegation
to introduce a bill to repeal sections 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9,
