PETITIONS, MEMORIALS AND OTHER PAPERS,
Mr. Miles presented a petition from J. J. Wright
and 60 other citizens of Dorchester county, asking for
better protection of fish and terrapins in certain waters
in Dorchester county.
Which was read and referred to the Dorchester
county delegation.
ORDERS.
On motion of Mr. Collins, it was
Ordered, That James M. Wooters be excused from
attendance on to-day's session on account of business.
On motion of Mr. Carter, it was
Ordered, That Hon. Charles W. Field be excused
from attending to-day's session of the House.
On motion of Mr. Laird, it was
Ordered, That the clerks of the County Commis-
sioners of the several counties of this State, and the
Appeal Tax Court of Baltimore city, be, and they are
hereby, requested to transmit, at the earliest possible
date, to the Chief Clerk of the House of Delegates, a
statement showing the aggregate amount of assessment
of the several kinds of property in their respective
counties and Baltimore city, for the years 1877 and
1891.
On motion of Mr. Smith, it was
Ordered, That Mr. John P. Fockler be excused on
account of sickness.
On motion of Mr. Laird, it was
Ordered, That when the House adjourns to-day it
stand adjourned until eleven o'clock Wednesday
morning.
