On motion of Mr, Sappington, of Anne Arundel,
Leave was granted to the Anne Arundel County
Delegation to introduce a bill entitled an Act to pro-
vide for the appointment of two additional police
officers lor the towns of Brooklyn and South Balti-
more, Anne Arundel county.
On motion of Mr. Sterling,
Leave was granted to the Somerset County Delega-
tion to introduce a bill entitled an Act to divide Cris-
field Election, District in Somerset county, Maryland,
and to lay out and establish a new Election District
in the said county, to be known as "Asbury Election
District No. 12."
On motion of Mr. Carr,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corpora-
tions to introduce a bill entitled an Act to amend the
charter of the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery.
On motion of Mr. Ellegood,
Leave was granted to the Wicomico County Delega-
tion to introduce a bill entitled an Act to incorporate
a company to be known as the "Dorman and Smyth
Hardware Company of Wicomico County, Maryland."

UNFINISHED BUSINESS.
The House considered unfinished business, being
House bill entitled an Act to add an additional sec-
tion to Article 27, of the Code of Public General
Laws, titled "Crimes and Punishments," sub-title
"Embezzlement of Property and Writings," to pro-
vide for the punishment of embezzlement.
Mr. Miles submitted the following proposed amend-
ment:
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Section 79 A, line 16, strike out all after the word
"account," and insert till following: "For and pay
over to such owner or owners, his or their share of the
cargo or the proceeds thereof ; and if such master
shall neglect or refuse to account for and pay over to
such owner or owners the consideration received there-
