Leave was granted to the Committee on Judiciary
to introduce a bill entitled an Act to give the leave
and sanction of the General Assembly of Maryland to
the lease from John Eager Howard to the Vestry of
St. Stephen's Church of Baltimore city, dated the 9th
day of May, 1857, and recorded among the Land
Records of Baltimore city, in liber E. D., No. 127,
folio 170.
On motion of Mr Grove, of Frederick,
Leave was granted to the Frederick County Dele-
gation to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal
sections 157, 160, 163, 164 166 and 174, of Article
eleven of the Code Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, title "Frederick County," sub-title "Frederick"
relating to the Mayor and Aldermen of Frederick,
and to re-enact said sections with amendments.
On motion of Mr, Maddox,
Leave was granted to the Charles County Delega-
tion to introduce a bill entitled an Act to provide
for additional Justices of the Peace in the first,
fourth and seventh election districts of Charles
county.
On motion of M . Walz,
Leave was granted to the Baltimore City Delega-
tion to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal sec-
tion 726, of Article 4, title "Board of Police Commis-
sioners," and to re-enact the same with amendments
On motion of Mr. Cornthwaite,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Labor to
report a bill entitled an Act to protect associations
and unions of working-men and persons in their labels,
trade-marks and form of advertising, and to punish
offenders for violation of the same.
On motion of Mr. Fuld.
Leave was granted to the Committee on Ways and
Means to introduce a bill entitled an Act to appoint a
Finance Commissioner for the State of Maryland, and
define his duties.

Leave wa,s granted to the Committee on Judiciary
to introduce a bill entitled an Act to amend Article
—, title "Mortgages," of the Code of Public General
Laws.
