The Speaker laid before the House the report of the
Visitors of the Asylum and Training School for the
Feeble-minded of the State of Maryland.

Mr. Leonard presented a petition from Mrs. A. E.
Adams, D. C. Dawson and other officers of the Home
for Friendless Children, on the Eastern Shore of
Maryland, asking for an appropriation.
Which was read, and referred to Committee on
Ways and Means.
Mr. Godwin presented a petition from F. W. Johns,
Wm. Hurlock and 51 other citizens of Queen Anne's
county, for the passage of an Act to authorize the
County Commissioners of said county to grant an
annual pension to John T. Jones, a citizen of said
county,

Delegation.

John's College for the past two years, and of its

Mr. Smith, of Dorchester county, presented a
petition from Matthew F. Creighton, and 102 other
citizens of Hooper's Island District of Dorchester
county, praying for the passage of a law to regulate
the taking of oysters with rakes or tongs in certain
waters of Dorchester county.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on.
Chesapeake Bay and its Tributaries.
