PETITIONS, MEMORIALS AND OTHER PAPERS.
The Speaker laid before the House the following
communication from the State Tax Commissioner, to-
gether with the accompanying report:

Office of the State Tax Commissioner,
ANNAPOLIS, January 6th, 1892.
To the General Assembly of Maryland :
In compliance with the requirements of law I have
the hpnor to submit the following report and most
respectfully commend it to your careful considera-
tion.
Which were severally read, and referred to the
Committee on Ways and Means.

Mr. Leonard presented a petition from Ed. H.
Roe, H. P. Pascult and 154 other citizens of Talbot
county, asking the repeal of chapter 422, Acts of 1890,
sub-title "Fish," in the waters of Talbot county.
Which was read, and referred to the Talbot County
Delegation.
Mr. Carter presented a petition from John P. Poe,
Chas. Marshall and others, in behalf of an appropria-
tion by the State for the second volume of Ringold's
Digest of the Maryland Decisions.
Which was read, and referred to the Committee on
Judiciary.
Mr. Hayward presented the following petition, viz:
The undersigned, sureties upon the official bonds of
Stevenson Archer, late Treasurer of Maryland, res-
pectfully pray that relief from the legal liabilities
consequent upon the defalcations of said Archer may
be granted to them.
