Also,
House bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments section 9, of Article 52, of the Code
of Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Justices
of the Peace," sub-title "Civil Jurisdiction."
"Considered ; vote by which the unfavorable report
was adopted, reconsidered; bill substituted for the
unfavorable report, and read the second time; rules
suspended, read the third time, and passed by yeas
and nays, with proposed amendment:"
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.
Strike out the word "three," in line 12 of said bill,
and insert in lieu thereof the word "twelve," and add
to the end of section 9 the words, "provided that in
the city of Baltimore the said suits may be brought
within three months from the date of such letters."
Which was concurred in.
Said bill, as amended, was then passed by yeas and
nays, as follows:
