House bill entitled an Act to repeal section 296, of
Article 23, of the Co.de of Public General Laws, title
"Corporations," sub-title "Roads," and to re-enact
the same with amendments.
Endorsed: "Reported favorably from the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings with amendments,
amendments adopted, and read the second time; rules
suspended, read the third time, and passed by yeas
and nays, with proposed amendments."
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
In line 5 of section 1, strike out the word "collec-
tor."
In line 9 of section 1, insert after the word "cor-
poration," the following:
"Provided that in every case the office securing pro-
cess shall leave a copy of such process with the per-
son upon whom the same is served."
At the end of section 1, add the following:
"And with the exceptions herein provided for as to
Trust and Guarantee Companies all suits which shall
hereafter be brought against any corporation which
has been or may be incapacitated under the general
incorporation laws of this State shall be brought in
the counties or city of Baltimore, as the case may be,
in which the certificate of incorporation is required
to be and has been "recorded."
