County," and to enact additional sections to said
Article, to be designated as set out in the bill.
On motion of Mr. Tracy,
Leave was granted to the Howard County Delega-
tion to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal and
re-enact with amendments, section 44, of Article 14,
of volume 2, of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland, title "Howard County," sub-title "County
Commissioners and County Collectors," and to add
five additional sections thereto to be known and des-
ignated as "Sections 44 A, 44 B, 44 C, 44 D and 44 E,
respectively.
On motion of Mr. Sellman,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Claims to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to pay a sum of money
to George M. Pearce, of Carroll county, for services
Tendered the House of Delegates as Sergeant-at-
Arms.
On motion of Mr. Smith, of Washington.
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judi-
ciary to introduce a bill entitled an Act to give and
declare the sanction of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, to the bequest to the Roman Catholic Church of
Hagerstown, Washington county, Maryland, con-
tained in the last will and testament of Mrs. Margaret
Norris, deceased.
On motion of Mr. Carter,
Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judi-
ciary to introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal and
re enact with amendments sections 20 and 33, of
Article 27, of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland, title "Public Education."
On motion of Mr. Collins,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Agriculture
to introduce a bill entitled an Act to establish a State
Board of Agriculture, Immigration and Labor.
