applicable to Magistrates' jurisdiction ; therefore,
be it
Ordered by the House of Delegates, That the State
Librarian deliver to the said Gantt a copy of Poe's
Code, the Acts of 1890 and 1892, for the purpose of
said codification.
Which was read and adopted.
REPORTS OF STANDING COMMITTEES.
Mr. McSherry, from the Committee on Printing, re-
ported favorably, with proposed amendment, the fol-
lowing order referred to said Committee on the 2d of
March, viz:
Ordered, That the State Printer print and bind in
pamphlet form five thousand copies of the assessment
bill, if the same is signed by the Governor the said
pamphlets to be delivered to the State Librarian for
the use of the members of the House and Senate, and
the sum of five hundred dollars is hereby appropriated
to pay for the same, to be taken out of the appropria-
tion for printing.
AMENDMENT PEOPOSED.
Strike out all after the word "ordered," and insert
the following:
"That the State Printer print and bind in pamphlet
form 5,000 copies of the assessment bill recently
passed by the General Assembly, provided said bill
is signed by the Governor; said 5,000 copies to be dis-
tributed by the Printer as follows : 1,000 copies to be
sent to the City Librarian of Baltimore, and 175 copies
to be sent to each of the County Commissioners; the
expense to be borne by the State Printer; provided, the
entire cost does not e.xceed the sum of $500."
Which was adopted.
Mr. Wilkinson moved to lay said order, as amended,
on the table, and demanded the yeas and nays.
The demand was sustained.
The yeas and nays were called, and appeared as fol-
lows :

Sappington, of Anne Arundel, Ireland, Lane, Carrico,
