On motion of Mr. Orrick, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Monmonier be excused from,
to-day's session, on account of important business.
On motion of Mr. Elliott, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Cole be excused from to-day's
session, on account e., sickness.
On motion of Mr. Maddox, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Carrico be excused from attend-
ance on to-day's session, on account of pressing busi-
ness.
On motion of Mr, Maddox, it was
Ordered, That Messrs. Deen and Johnson be excused
from attendance on to-day's session, on account of
pressing business.
On motion of Mr, Lane, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Ireland be excused from attend-
ance on the session of the House for Monday and Tues-
day, 1st and 2d of February.
On motion of Mr. Gaver, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Grove, of Frederick, be excused
from attendance upon to-day's session on account of
important business.
On motion of Mr. Grove, of Cecil, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Beeks and Mr. Kirk be excused
from to day's session, on account of sickness
On motion of Mr. Smith of Washington, it was
Ordered, That each delegation of the present House
of Delegates be furnished with Vol. I and Vol. II, of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, for their
use during the present legislative session.
On motion of Mr. Young, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Stottlemyer be excused from
to-day's session, on account of important business.
On motion of Mr. Hill, it was
Ordered, That Mr. Perrie be excused from attend-
ance on to-day's session, on account of sickness.
Mr. Joyce submitted the following order, viz:
