House bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 100,
101, 102 and 108, of the Code of Public Local Laws,
title "St. Mary's County," sub-title "Roads," and to
enact the following sections in lieu thereof, to be de
signated as "Sections 100, 101, 102, 103 and 103 A."
Endorsed: "Read the third time, and passed by
yeas and nays, with proposed amendments :"
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED,
Amend title by adding after "103 A," in line 5,
"103 B."
Also,
Add to section 1, in line 4, after the words "103 A,"
the words, "103 B."
Also,
Strike out all after the figures "100," in line 5, of
section 1, and insert as follows : ' 'Meet on the Tues-
day next after the first Monday in the month of No-
vember, in the year 1892, ,and on that day every two
years thereafter there shall be held, an election for
three Commissioners for St. Mary's county, whose
term of office shall begin on the first Monday of De-
cember after their election, and shall hold office for
two years and until their successors shall have been
elected and qualified."
Add new section 103 A, to be known as "Section
103 B," as follows: "103 B. And be it enacted,
That until the first election for Road Commissioners is
held, as hereinbefore provided, and the publications
of the officers then elected, the Governor of the State
shall appoint three citizens of said county to act as
Road Commissioners of said county, with power and
anthority to do and perform all acts and things that
said Road Commissioners to be elected, as herein pro-
vided, are authorized and empowered by this Act to
do and perform."
