Said bill entitled an Act to appropriate a certain
sum of money to meet the expenses of an extra session
of the Senate to confirm Executive appointments.
Was read a third time, and passed by yeas and
nays, as follows:

Said bill was then sent to the Senate.
Mr. McSherry moved to suspend the rules in order
to introduce the following, viz. :
Leave to the Committee on Ways and Means to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum
of money for the purchase of an iron safe for the
Executive Department, of new registration books for
Baltimore city, and for having printed pamphlet
copies of the election laws of Maryland.
The rules were suspended (two-thirds of all the mem-
bers-elect) voting in the affirmative, by yeas and nays,
as follows:
AFFIRMATIVE.—Messrs. Speaker, Combs, Strong,
Wilson, Brashears, Donaldson, Hutchins, Sappington,
