Endorsed : "Reported favorably from Select Com-
mittee with amendments ; amendments adopted ; read
a third time, and passed by yeas and nays, with pro-
posed amendments:"
AMENTMENT PROPOSED.
Strike out after the words "a bill" and insert the
following:
"Section 1. Be it enacted, That the Fourth or
Parson's Creek Election District of Dorchester county
be and is hereby divided into two election precincts to
be called 'Precinct No. 1, or Madison Precinct,' and
Precinct No. 2, or Taylor's Island Precinct;' all that
part of said Fourth or Parson's Creek District being-
eastward of a line beginning with the headwaters of
Parson's Creek and running with Stuart's Canal to its
intersection with the headwaters of Black Water
River and with said river to the Big Water Bridge,
shall constitute the first or Madison Precinct, and the
voting place shall be Madison ; and all that part of
said Fourth or Parson's Creek District lying to the
westward of said line shall constitute the second or
Taylor's Island Precinct and the voting place shall be
at Taylor's Island.
"Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the County Com-
missioners of Dorchester county are hereby authorized
and directed to do all things and make all necessary
arrangements to carry out the provisions of this Act."
Which was concurred in.
Said bill, as amended, was then passed by yeas and
nays, as follows :

Strong, Wilson, Brashears, Donaldson, Hutchins, Sap-
pington, of Anne Arundel, Ireland, Carrico, Mad-
dox, Orrick, Cole, Elliott, Hamilton, Jr., Schlaffer,
Collins, Wooters, Leonard, Green, Anderson. Mere-
dith. Smith, of Dorchester, Miles, Kirk, Grove, of
Cecil, Bowie, of Prince George's, Hill, Perrie, Bryan,
Wallen, Wilkinson, McSherry, Gaver, Grove, of Fred-
erick, Sappington, of Frederick, Hayward, Deen, John-
son, Fitzgerald, Brennan, Carter, Bowie, of Baltimore
city, O'Conor, Gallagher, Sanders, Cornthwaite, Joyce,
Stottlemyer, Ellegood—51.
