Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 3, of
Article 81, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Revenue and Taxes," sub-title "Valuation and
Assessment," and to re-enact the same with amend-
ments, and to repeal all Acts and parts of Acts incon-
sistent therewith.
Which was read a second time.
Also, favorably,
Senate bill entitled an Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay to the Mayor and City Council of Bal-
timore the assessments for benefits assessed on prop-
erty of the State of Maryland, for the opening of
Pulaski street, and for the benefits assessed on prop-
erty owned by the State of Maryland, for the opening
of Carrollton avenue.
Which was read a second time.
Also, favorably,
Senate bill entitled an Act to provide for the assign-
ment and transfer of certain shares of the capital
stocks of the Easton National Bank of Maryland, and
of the National Mechanics' Bank of Baltimore, and of
the Commercial and Farmers' National Bank of Balti-
more, standing on the books of said banks in the name
of the Orphans' Court of Caroline county, or the.
Judges thereof, to the Board of County School Com-
missioners of Caroline county.
Which was read a second time.
Also, favorably, the following order referred to said
Committee, March 31st, viz:
Ordered, That the Clerk to the Committee on Ways
and Means be compensated for his services to that
Committee at the same rate of pay as is paid the
Reading Clerk, and that the Chairman of the Com-
mittee on Claims is hereby ordered to draw his war-
rant in payment of same.
Which was read and order adopted by yeas and
nays, as follows:
