Also,
Ordered, That all officers and employees of the House
be and they are hereby required to be in constant
attendance upon the sittings of the House, and that
the pay of those who are absent hereafter without
special permission in writing, signed by the Speaker,
be withheld; and the sergeant-at-arms, door-keepers
and pages are directed to take care that persons ad-
mitted to the privileges of the floor do not occupy
the seats of members.
Mr. O'Conor submitted the following order, viz:
Ordered, That the Chairman of the Committee on
Claims, the Clerk to the Committee on Claims, the
Engrossing Committee, and such other members as the
Speaker may select, together with such Engrossing
Clerks as the Chairman of the Engrossing Committee
and the Chief Clerk of the House and Speaker shall
select, shall each receive the same compensation as at
the last session for services to be rendered by them
after the adjournment, and the Chairman of the Com-
mittee on Claims is hereby authorized to issue his
certificate to the parties aforesaid in coformity here-
with.
