Senate bill entitled an Act to regulate the sale of
spirituous or fermented liquors or lager beer within
three miles in every direction of the city of Cumber-
land, Maryland.
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.
In section 1, line 7, after the word "direction," in-
sert the following, "but not within sa'd city."
Also, after the .word "directions," at the end of
line 44 of section C, insert as follows, "but not within
said city."
Also, in line 54, section D, after the word "the,"
insert the following, "corporate limits of the."
Also, in line 96, section H, strike out all after the
word "guests," down to the end of the section.
Also, in line 107, section I, strike out all after the
word "thereof," to the end of said line 107.
Which were severally read and adopted.
Said bill, as amended, was then read a second
time.
Mr. Wilkinson, from Select Committee, reported
favorably,
Senate bill entitled an Act to add three new sections
to Article 24, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title
"Worcester County," sub-title "County Commis-
sioners," to follow immediately after section 84, and
the sub-title "County Commissioners," and to be
designated as "Sections 84 A, 84 B. and 84 C."
Which was read a second time.
Also, favorably, from Select Committee,
Senate bill entitled an Act authorizing the Board of
County Commissioners of Worcester county to ap-
propriate the money now in their hands and such
further sums as may be collected in the year 1892,
from the issuance of tong license in said county to
cutting a canal connecting the Synapuxent Bay with
the Atlantic Ocean at a point near Gieen Run Inlet.
